Hi.

Thanks for stopping by! Let's get sweaty and figure out this whole parenting thing together!

Revie Jane @ Home Workout Review

Revie Jane @ Home Workout Review

Deciding to start the 8-week Revie Jane program in September was literally the best timing ever. At first, there was a little concern on my part for how short the workouts were. Some were outlined to take no more than 7 Minutes! Others that were “for time” I️ completed in 6 Minutes or less and I️ just couldn’t understand how this would keep me in shape.

As I️ continued through the program though I️ was thanking Revie for knowing exactly what a working mom needed — a workout that got your heart rate up, pushed your limits, and still allowed you to get everything else done.

These last two months have been a killer natural disasters, lovely toddler sicknesses, Jewish Holidays, and literally more work than one can imagine. I️ absolutely did not have 30 Minutes to devote to a workout, unless I️ wanted to forgo sleep that was already pretty minimal. (Not an option)

The program had a nice mix of running, jumping and weights. There were full body workouts that left me sore for days. I️ really liked that you repeated several different types of workouts to test your fitness levels. Having benchmarks that were not scale related helped keep everything in perspective, especially when travel and stress had me not necessarily eating at my best.

GOAL: Shave off time with each round

Some of my favorite workouts that stuck in my brain and worked me the hardest included:

  1. 7-minutes of as many burpees as possible -- I reach 100 burpees;
  2. any workout with death rolls -- seriously loved this move;
  3. the sprints plus workouts (400M and 200M) -- one of my favorite things is sprinting and then lifting weights.
A serious sweaty mess

I loved competing with myself, and will certainly be returning to these workouts when I am in a pinch but refuse to NOT workout.
